Using “See It! Say It! Zap It!” to Assist with Stress, Health, Personal Issues & More

From Mark W., Palm Harbor, FL —
I signed up as a client of Jan Rysdon’s and she introduced me to the “See it, Say it, Zap it” technique. The cravings were mounting and my diet was in trouble. Since seeing Jan, I’ve zapped popcorn, peanuts, candy, cake, rice, and white bread. What a powerful technique! I’m currently working on utilizing the technique to avoid other unwanted behaviors and am really so pleased to endorse her program.

From Kay K., Palm Harbor, FL —

Jan also helped me with the Zap method of dealing with difficult people. She taught me to See it, Say it, Zap it. It is amazing how well this works. I sort of compare it to blowing off the nuisance and not letting it bother me. A wonderful tool in this wild and wacky world.

From Judy B., Oldsmar, FL  —

With so much happening, I asked Jan for help. She, with her calm & nurturing manner, did her “magic” and left me with many tools to help me deal with problems on a day-to-day basis. She is a phenomenal hypnotherapist and a blessing to me. While she gave me many valuable tools, the best one is the “See It! Say It! Zap It!” Every time I use it I am amazed at how well it works and how good I feel. Thank you, Jan!

From Sharon T., Palm Harbor, FL  —

I have severe chronic allergies and often get headaches as a result. After one session with Jan and practicing the “See It! Say It! Zap It!” method, I have no headaches and feel so much better! I haven’t had an Advil since and hey, it saves money not having to buy them any longer.

From Rick R., Tampa, FL —

The other day I exercised one and a half hours, and the overall level of pain in my back increased to a level 4-5. I decided to Zap the pain, and within 5-10 minutes my awareness of the pain lessened to a 2 and remained at this level through the rest of the day. The next day, I had a lot of stress due to work and other issues. By evening stress manifested in numerous symptoms of discomfort in neck, back, stiffness, and I couldn’t even lay flat on my back. Decided to Zap because trying to sleep while TV was on didn’t work, but Zapping lessened the pain in my back NOTICEABLY WITHIN A FEW MINUTES. I used it again as I thought of my blood pressure reducing and visualized my opening heart to lower the pressure. The results? Approximately one-half hour later my overall well-being and awareness of level of pain reduced from 4-5 to 1! Thank you, Jan!

Using “See It! Say It! Zap It!” to Assist the Physical Body

Ben Dec 27-2007

From Hypnotist Ben E., Jacksonville, FL —

For years I’ve had a mole in the right front quadrant of my scalp and it was never a concern. In the second half of 2007, it seemed to be expanding, so much so, that my hairdresser expressed concern and suggested that I consult a doctor. Upon visiting the doctor, I was reassured that it was not a melanoma but a seborrheic keratosis and nothing to worry about. If I wanted to have it removed it could be lasered or burned off leaving a half dollar size bald spot in the middle of my scalp. I decided to just do a comb over and leave it alone. Then I remembered the See It, Say It, Zap It technique that you presented at a Hypnosis Education Association Conference. I used the technique and then took this picture of the keratosis on December 27, 2007. The very next day I noticed the keratosis seemed to be shrinking. In the next few days, I was pulling chunks of it out of my hair.

We took another picture on January 1, 2008, which showed some redness on my scalp, but the keratosis was significantly diminished.

Ben Jan 3-2008

It continued to dry up and flake off, and by January 3, 2008, it was completely gone. We took 2 photos on that day just to make sure we weren’t seeing things.

Ben Mar 23-2008

The last photo was taken on March 23, 2008, and as you can see there is no scar, no damage, no markings whatsoever and most of all NO BALD SPOT! Thank you, Jan for sharing the gift of See It, Say It, Zap It.

Medical Procedure Preparation

From Linda W., Sarasota, FL —

I was scheduled to have lumpectomy surgery in February 2019 on a Wednesday. The Sunday before I had a phone session with Jan, and while I was lying in bed listening to her voice, she created a vision for me as “co-operating” with the medical team and procedure. At the end of the call she summarized the steps, and she emailed me a list of affirmations. The days before surgery, I listened again and again to the recording of her call and re-read the list of affirmations. I brought the affirmations with me to the hospital and reread them during the long day of prep before the surgical procedure.

Here are the headline results! I did not need to take any pain medication as a result of the lumpectomy surgery and the re-excision one week later. I was able to work out with my regular gym class on days that I had one of my 19 radiation treatments. And before I started taking the prescribed medication and treatment, I announced to the universe that I was side-effect free. And I was and still am!
I know that I had an outstanding medical team, and that the emotional and spiritual support from Jan’s sessions with me contributed to my moving through this health challenge with ease and grace. Thank you, Jan, for who you are, what you know, and how are you share it. 🙏🙏🙏 You make a life-affirming difference!

From Richard R., Oldsmar, FL —

After working with Jan, I went into surgery for a hiatal hernia with a joke in my mind and a smile on my face. Recovery went very well; I had minimal discomfort. I really appreciated the work Jan did with me.

From Kay K., Palm Harbor, FL —
J
an very graciously came to my home and hypnotized me prior to my surgery for a deviated septum. It was interesting that I suffered no pain post op. However, I did have some pain due to breathing problems that we had not anticipated, and that went away quickly. I was not apprehensive before the surgery at all and felt confident that all would go well. Thanks, Jan

Fear and Claustrophobia

From Gail R., Holiday, FL —
I want to thank Jan for helping me over a hurdle which has been stifling me for many many years. Anxiety! Panic! Claustrophobia! Ugh, how awful. Somewhere along the way, I developed anxiety attacks, could not get on an elevator. Didn’t even consider flying. OMG being in an enclosed space, up there with hundreds of other people. What if I lost it, I could just see one of the other passengers knocking me out to keep me quiet. No thanks! A very dear and old friend asked me to go with her to Hawaii, I wanted to go,  I looked at all the flight information, and started to have anxiety attacks. I just could not do it. So, off she went, with other friends and had a great time. I stayed home.

Anytime I needed to see a Doctor, I was relieved their offices were on the main floor and I would not have to go into an elevator. If it were up two or three flights, I would walk up and down. Cannot do that anymore. I need to have my knees replaced so walking up a flight of stairs is not an option. I would get into the elevator and literally hold my breath till the doors opened, my heart was beating in my chest, my pulse raced, I started to perspire and become warm all over. Oh brother.

I started my own business. There was an annual seminar held in Dallas. My husband and I were going to drive. Make a trip of it if you know what I mean. My knees could not take being in the car for that long. A friend of mine who I confided in about my fears and stating I might not be making the trip, told me of an experience she had and recommended Jan to me.

I had a difficult time making a decision about seeing Jan, I just did not want to incur the expense plus I was already in consultation with another therapist, and thought there might be a conflict of interest. Well, I decided to meet with Jan and I did. We talked and talked for quite some time. I expressed what was going on in my world. She told me she could help and I allowed her to hypnotize me. She dimmed the lights, soft music was playing and her
soothing voice spoke to me. I left, took the elevator down not thinking about it at all. YES! When I got home, I was puzzled and confused. I was not sure of things. I spoke to Jan and we met again. She worked very hard to get me to the point I am at today.

You know, I flew to Dallas! Yes, that is right I flew twice. Coming and going. I loved every minute of it, except for the wrong seat selection and that will never happen again. Got a cold and I will work on that too. I am applying for my passport so I can be ready to go when my dear friend calls and says, let’s go. You see her son has timeshares and we get to stay just for the cost of a flight. Now how great is that?  Plus I get to see my friend and spend some time together. I can also fly back and forth to see my daughter and her children. Oh did I forget to mention I stayed on the 33rd floor of the hotel, you know what that meant right. ELEVATORS!

For many years, way too many, I allowed those fears to overtake my life. No more! I am free and thanks to Jan’s patience and persistence and soft, soothing voice, my world is not what it once was. I highly recommend a session with Jan is you are experiencing any anxiety, want to lose some weight, quit smoking or need help reaching your goals.  I thank the woman who recommended Jan to me and recommend Jan to you.  She is sensational!!!!!!!!

Comfortable Childbirth

From Coral V., St. Petersburg, FL —

I told my doctor and his staff about Comfortable Childbirth with Hypnosis the whole time I was seeing you. After I arrived at the hospital, nobody thought I would go into labor for hours. I was doing fine; monitoring the ‘pressure waves’ as they came. Then my labor process went from “0 to 60” in all of 8 minutes. Because I was so calm, they (the nurses at Bayfront) didn’t believe me that I was really in labor. They had checked me 15 min prior, and I was only 4 cm. But when I came back from the bathroom, my concentration was broken, and that’s when I started to demand an epidural and that I be checked again. The nurse with an attitude checked me, and sure enough I was a full 10 cm. My husband and midwife tried really hard to get me back to relaxation, but the nurse seemed panicked, smashed the red button, and yelled,” Now! We need a doctor right now!” Then she told me there was no time for my doctor to arrive, there was no time for the epidural, and I’d have labor the way I originally intended, naturally! The pressure came fast and hard, so it was scary to go from a peaceful relaxing daydream to doctors rushing in. But I did it!

The doctors on call ran in just barely having time to get robed up and gloves on, telling me to grab the back of my knees and push (that’s what I needed to hear; my body knew it had to push, just not the correct way). For the first push I was completely focused. While I was waiting for the next wave, the doctors introduced themselves, but I was too busy and was apologizing for being pushy to catch their names, when along came the second wave and voila! My “fish” was pushed out! It all happened so quickly, and I didn’t have any pain until I had certain pressure, just before I pushed out my baby girl. With a gush she was born. Just like in my mind– I was in the ocean, riding the waves, and I had a “fish.”  😉  I broke concentration to yell, “Jesus thank you, Oh Lord!” My husband turned and said, “That wasn’t so bad, nothing like I saw on t.v., that was quick.” I guess he hadn’t realized how hard I just worked, so I flicked him off, not able to say a word.

I can’t say it was easy, but it was quick and definitely not painful like my first! The hypnosis for birthing worked as far as I’m concerned because if I had felt all those “waves” early on, I might have needed drugs. My husband was the non-believer in the beginning, even in the class. He thought, “This is not what I have seen on t.v., so this will not be this way,” but he went along with me anyway. After the birth he was the first in line to say how easy it was, so even if it just makes it easier for him, it’s worth the money because men never understand our pain. It was more emotional, and he was there for that part, concentrating on his new baby girl because there was no pain for his loving wife.

From Carla B., Riverview, FL —

My timeline and testimonial for my first baby:

Tues.- – ‘pressure waves’ off and on during the day and night

Wed. –pressure waves more frequent and then 5 min. apart from 11 a.m.-noon

Noon- leave for hospital

1 p.m. – in room at 3 cm dilated

4:45 p.m. – 5 cm dilated; doctor broke water & gave medication to induce

5:45 p.m. – 9 cm dilated

6:45 p.m. – 10 cm dilated and 3 pushes

6:51 p.m. – Baby girl was born followed by the placenta shortly thereafter

One of my affirmations was “This is going to be easy!” and it most definitely was! I was also happy that my baby was born on her due date.

From Erica D-J, Palm Harbor, FL —      I had been suffering from severe Hyperemesis to the point of having to be on medication. Even though I was on medication, it still did not help me. I was still absolutely miserable and couldn’t do much of anything. My husband Keven and I tried everything from the Sci Band to a new electric pulse device that you have to wear on your wrist, given to me by my doctor’s office. NOTHING WORKED. Keven was the one that thought I should try going to a Hypnotherapist. I thought, “Hey, at this point I am willing to do anything.” My mother gave me the number of a Hypnotherapist who referred us to Jan Rysdon, a specialist in Hyperemesis. My husband immediately called her to find out what it was about, and we decided to try a few sessions. Before I went to my visit, in all honesty, I was in deep misery. After only one session, I felt like a new person. I felt rested and looked at life in a completely different way. It changed my whole outlook on how to deal with any down-falls that happen in life and dealing with Hyperemesis is one of them. Jan was incredible and had me focus on things I would never think of doing when I was feeling at my absolute worst. I highly recommend any woman who is dealing with Hyperemesis, see Jan Rysdon–who I am proud to say is my Hypnotherapist.
